Dinosaur Pikelets

    Ingredients:

4 x level scoops Farmers Beta A2 Nutritional Toddler Milk Powder,

    200ml lukewarm, preboiled water,

    1 egg,

    ¾ cup washed baby spinach,

1 cup of wholemeal plain flour,

    2 teaspoons of baking powder,

    1 tablespoon butter,

Dried apricots & other decorations (dried fruit, choc chips, coconut – you get creative),

    Method:

    1: Wash hands thoroughly.

2: Place four level scoops of Farmers Beta A2 Nutritional Toddler Milk powder, 200 mL of lukewarm boiled water, 1 egg and the baby spinach into a blender, or use a stick blender to blend all the ingredients to a smooth consistency.

3: Sift the flour and baking powder into a separate bowl, then slowly mix in the wet ingredients until smooth.  Mixture should be a moist consistency but not runny, allow to sit/rest for 10 minutes.

4: Meanwhile, chop dried apricots into triangular shapes.

5: Heat a flat non-stick pan over medium heat,  brush with a little butter.

6: Spoon the mixture into the pan, creating shapes as seen on the video.

7: Decorate the top  of the pikelet with the cut apricots whilst the surface is moist (still cooking).

8: Wait for the bubbles to form on the surface of the pikelet or until the bottom of the pikelets are golden.

9: Flip over and cook for another 1 minute, then remove from pan.

10: Continue to cook additional pikelets using the remainder of the mixture, experimenting with different dinosaur shapes.

11: Allow to cool slightly and eat them ‘plain and simple’ like a Ravenous Tyrannosaurus Rex would OR perhaps eat them like a Hungry Stegosaurus and serve with maple syrup, or yogurt and fresh fruit.

Cooked Dinosaurs will keep in the fridge for two days.  They can be re-heated in the microwave for 20 seconds to refresh.
